David S. Uri

Mr. Uri has been a private equity investor for the past 18 years working with several institutional investment firms.  Mr. Uri is the Managing Member of Endurance Holdings, LLC, an investment and advisory firm formed to make investments in private companies and provide strategic consulting services.  His experience covers business and strategic development, acquisitions, transaction structuring, corporate governance and financial analysis.

 

Mr. Uri is a Special Member of GarMark Advisors L.L.C., a $750 million mezzanine and corporate opportunities fund focused on middle market transactions.   GarMark seeks investment opportunities ranging from $10 - $30 million of capital in a wide range of industries.  These investments consist of leveraged recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts and growth equity financings.  Mr. Uri is responsible for transaction origination and execution.

 

From 1999 to 2005, Mr. Uri was a Partner of Pegasus Capital Advisors, L.P. , a private investment firm focused on complex debt and equity investments, including buyouts, structured loans, restructurings and bankruptcies.  At Pegasus, Mr. Uri played a significant role in sourcing, acquiring and financing companies as well as managing portfolio investments, including Cannondale Bicycle Corporation, Merisant Company and American Wholesale Insurance Group, Inc.  During his tenure at Pegasus, Mr. Uri was a board member on numerous portfolio companies.

 

From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Uri was a Vice President of The Jordan Company LP, a private equity firm focused on middle market acquisitions in the United States and Europe.  From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Uri was a principal at EXOR America Inc. , the international investment holding company controlled by the Agnelli Group.  Mr. Uri was involved in all aspects of EXOR's investment strategy, including the purchase of Rockefeller Center, Constitution Reinsurance Corporation and several investments in Latin America.  Previously, Mr. Uri worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc.

 

Mr. Uri received his M.B.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and graduated with honors from the University of California at Los Angeles with a B.A. with degrees in economics and business.

 

Mr. Uri resides in Bend, Oregon, with his wife and three daughters. He is competitive triathlete and long distance runner, having completed several Ironman and ultra-marathon events.
